A report produced by the Poland research team of the Global Media and Internet Research Project

This report examines revenue and market concentration trends in Poland’s media, internet, and telecommunications industries from 2019 to 2023, as part of the Global Media and Internet Concentration Project (GMICP). Poland’s networked media economy grew 30.4%, reaching PLN 80,967 million in 2023. The market is moderately concentrated overall, led by telecoms and converged players such as Polsat Plus and Orange. Broadcast TV concentration increased significantly, while streaming revenues surged, dominated by global players like Netflix. US-based platforms control key internet gateways, though domestic portals retain a notable share of online advertising. Data gaps and political interference in public media also present ongoing challenges.
