A report produced by the Chile research team of the Global Media and Internet Research Project
This report examines media and market concentration trends in Chile’s communication, internet, and media industries from 2019 to 2021. It focuses on nearly two dozen sectors, first analyzing them individually, then grouping them into three broader categories: telecom and internet access, online and traditional media services, and core internet sectors. The report seeks to provide a comprehensive view of Chile’s network media economy, which has been under-researched in terms of media ownership, by analyzing specific industries and their dynamics while offering insights into the overall structure of the media sector in Chile.
