Congratulations to Cameron and Florencia on their excellent research and analysis exploring important issues around media concentration. Their winning papers demonstrated deep insights and will be featured presentations at our Sydney Workshop in June 2024.

The contest attracted many strong submissions from research assistants and students across the GMIC Project teams. We appreciate everyone who took the time to prepare and submit papers.

Cameron and Florencia’s papers were selected by a review committee of research team leaders for their outstanding quality, relevance to our focus areas, and potential to advance discussions around media concentration’s impacts.

While we are delighted to highlight and award these top papers, we want to thank all GMIC Project researchers for their hard work and commitment to this vital area of study. We look forward to continuing interdisciplinary dialogue and pushing the boundaries of this field.
