The Global Media and Internet Concentration Project is delighted to announce the next in our series of international symposia, to be held June 27-28, 2024, at the University of Sydney.
As the world’s top media and communication scholars congregate in Australasia for the ICA (Gold Coast) and IAMCR (Christchurch) conferences, we are taking advantage to assemble our own community of researchers, as well as invited guests and speakers. As we approach the half-way mark of the project, we will take the opportunity to share the results of our work to date, learn from our achievements and develop collaborative solutions to our shared challenges.
The two day event will feature a workshop on media ownership categorization, presentations of the latest data and reports, a roundtable on new research frontiers, a workbook hackathon, presentation of our inaugural RA paper prize and a guest lecture.
A final agenda will be published by the end of March, 2024.
